The Cedar Arch at Scarborough House
The Cedar Arch stands permanently in the back field at Scarborough House, a private 1821 estate wedding venue in Stantonsburg, NC. It was built from eastern red cedar harvested on the property and is wired with real power running to the base so string lights, lanterns, and a PA system can plug in without extension cords strung across the grass. A cast-iron lantern hangs from the crossbeam. The arch faces east, so early-afternoon ceremonies catch open sky behind the couple and golden-hour portraits against the back fields.
The arch sits beside the Magnolia Pavilion, the Pergola, and all thirteen bedrooms, surrounded by hundreds of acres of active North Carolina farmland, so your guests never drive between the ceremony and the reception.
