The Estate Sign at Scarborough House
The estate sign at the entrance to Scarborough House is one of the most-photographed spots on the property. Every couple passes it on the way in and most stop for a portrait on their wedding day. The sign reads "Scarborough House" and marks the turn off NC Highway 222 East onto the private drive. It sits at the gate framed by mature trees and is one of the defining visual landmarks of the estate.
The sign appears in wedding portraits, engagement sessions, and real wedding announcements from couples who have celebrated at the estate. It is included on the standard tour route. Scarborough House is located at 7348 NC 222 in Stantonsburg, NC, about 55 minutes east of Raleigh in Wilson County.
