Outdoor Ceremony Guest Capacity and Seating Guide
Planning for 225 event guests calls for a confirmed layout, not a number copied from an old venue article. Ceremony seating, reception tables, included furniture and package limits are different things. Ask the venue to review the plan before you promise a capacity.
At Scarborough House, included tables and chairs cover 150 event guests. The standard $10,500 weekend package is for up to 200 event guests. A pavilion-plus-patio layout for around 250 event guests may be possible after venue review and layout approval. A plan for up to 300 event guests requires a custom quote, venue approval and client-paid rentals and infrastructure. Expanded numbers are not automatic approvals.
What changes when the count increases?
More event guests affect sightlines, aisle width, accessible routes, shade, arrival flow and the transition from ceremony to reception. Ask which seats are included and whether extra chairs, tables, staff, tenting or infrastructure are needed. Do not assume an open ceremony area translates directly into a comfortable reception layout. Ask the venue to review every stage.
Confirm the layout before you invite
Thinking about touring? Most couples know within the first ten minutes on the grounds. See tour times or check pricing first.
- Share the working event-guest count and expected ceremony and reception counts.
- Ask for a diagram showing chairs, aisles, accessible routes, entry points and the rain alternative.
- Confirm included furniture, rental needs and setup costs.
- Ask what approvals a pavilion-and-patio layout requires.
- Get custom-capacity and rental assumptions in writing.
Keep overnight lodging separate
Event attendance is not overnight lodging. Scarborough House has 13 bedrooms sleep 28 overnight guests in standard bedroom beds. One bonus twin in the open area above the carport adds one fixed bed space, for 29 total. That open area is not a bedroom. These lodging numbers do not increase event capacity.
See the guest-capacity guide and lodging overview. For 225 event guests, ask whether your pavilion-and-patio layout can be approved and what it would require.
