Some of them are fifty feet tall. They creak and spin and catch the light, and the whole park feels like a dream someone welded together.

For the cousins and college friends: Game On Escapes in Greenville holds a perfect 5.0 stars across 324 reviews, which is nearly impossible for an escape room and makes it a legitimately great Friday afternoon for a wedding party that likes each other. Captain Jack's Miniature Golf (4.5 stars, 496 reviews) is the lower-stakes version. Pitt Street Brewing Company (4.7 stars, 419 reviews) pours its own beer in a converted Coca-Cola bottling plant, and Brewmasters back in Wilson (4.5 stars, 941 reviews) is the closest good taproom to the venue.

Practical and unglamorous, but somebody in your party will need a last minute manicure.
