What Our Wedding Weekend Fee Includes: Compare the Full Quote

You ask for a wedding venue price because you want to know whether the place fits your budget. Then you realize the number alone is not enough. Does it include chairs? Tables? Overnight rooms? Cleaning? Is a drinks minimum separate from the rental fee? Does a second event mean a second charge?

None of those questions is rude. They are the questions that turn a starting price into a useful plan.

At Scarborough House, we want the answer to be specific. Our standard wedding weekend venue fee is $10,500. It includes 200 chairs and tables for those chairs, access to our available decor collection, use of all 13 bedrooms with on-site lodging, and the cleaning fee. It is a venue-and-lodging package, not an all-inclusive catering and drinks package.

Start with the same weekend and the same guest count

Comparing two starting prices can be misleading even when both venues have described their packages honestly. One might cover an afternoon. Another might cover Friday through Sunday. One quote might be for 80 event guests; another might assume 200. One might include furniture while another expects you to rent it.

Ask each venue to price the same dates, guest count, and planned events. Tell them whether you want a rehearsal dinner, the wedding itself, and overnight lodging. Then put the answers beside one another. You are comparing what you would actually book, not competing headlines.

At Scarborough House, the standard weekend runs from Friday 3 PM check-in to Sunday 10 AM checkout. Meals outside the reception still need arrangements. A rehearsal dinner can be part of your weekend plans without implying that the venue fee includes someone preparing and serving it.

Our weekend fee includes 200 chairs and tables for them

The number matters. “Tables and chairs included” does not tell you whether the inventory covers your celebration. For our standard weekend package, the venue fee includes 200 chairs and tables for those 200 event guests.

Discuss the actual ceremony and reception layouts with us. Included inventory does not mean a separate complete set of 200 chairs is waiting at every location simultaneously. Ask how your layout and any movement between spaces will work before assigning jobs or ordering extra furniture.

Our capacity guide separates the standard package from larger reviewed layouts. The standard weekend supports up to 200 event guests. Pavilion-and-patio plans around 250 require venue review, and events up to 300 require a custom quote, approval, and client-paid rentals and infrastructure. More people is a different plan, not an automatic extension of the standard furniture inventory.

Access to available estate decor is included

You do not have to assume every attractive detail needs to be bought new. Our weekend fee includes access to the estate's available decor collection.

Look at the current inventory with us and decide what suits your celebration. Available decor is not the same as unlimited custom styling, a guaranteed matching set of every item, fresh flowers, or every object shown in every wedding photograph. A picture may include items supplied by a couple, florist, planner, or rental company.

Use the real collection as a starting point. Bring your ideas, ask what is available, and decide where you want your own touches. That is a better approach than either buying everything before your tour or assuming every inspiration photo can be recreated from the included inventory.

All 13 bedrooms and on-site lodging are included

The standard weekend venue fee includes use of all 13 bedrooms across the estate, with no extra lodging charge. There are beds for up to 29 overnight guests, depending on how the group uses the available sleeping spaces.

That does not mean 29 private bedrooms or 29 separate beds. If each person wants a private bedroom, you are planning for 13 overnight guests. Two people per bedroom is a 26-person planning example, not the maximum. Some rooms accommodate more than two. Sharing beds, sharing rooms, and willingness to use bunk beds all affect the room assignments.

The total includes 28 standard bedroom sleeping spaces plus one open-area bonus twin. The bedrooms are distributed across the property, not all inside the historic manor. Review the lodging details with the actual people staying, rather than treating the largest number as a room plan.

Event guests and overnight guests are different groups. You may have a larger wedding-day guest list and a smaller group staying on-site. Tell everyone clearly whether an overnight room has been assigned to them.

The cleaning fee is included

Our weekend venue fee includes the cleaning fee. You should not have to add a separate routine cleaning-fee line when comparing this standard package.

That does not mean ignoring checkout instructions or assuming damage is covered. Discuss the booking agreement, personal-item removal, vendor breakdown, and any responsibilities that apply to your event. An included cleaning fee should make the price clearer, not create uncertainty about what you and your vendors still need to do.

Ask the same question elsewhere: is the cleaning charge included in this quote, and what does it cover? A separate charge is not automatically unfair. An unexplained charge is simply harder to budget for.

Ask about bar minimums without assuming every venue has one

Thinking about touring? Most couples know within the first ten minutes on the grounds. See tour times or check pricing first.

If drinks are part of your plans, ask whether the quote includes a required bar package, a minimum beverage spend, bartending, service charges, taxes, gratuity, ice, glassware, or a corkage fee. Ask which charges are mandatory and which depend on your choices.

Different venues and providers use different models. We are not claiming that every venue with a bar has a minimum, or that a minimum automatically makes a package poor value. You need the actual terms to compare it fairly.

At Scarborough House, access to the venue's bar area is not a promise of included alcohol or staffed bar service. Food, drinks, bartending, and other vendor services are separate from the standard weekend venue fee. Talk through the legal and practical requirements before planning service.

Open vendor choice means choice, not the absence of requirements

You can choose your vendors and pay them directly, with zero venue markups at Scarborough House. That lets you compare proposals from the people doing the work rather than treating every service as part of one compulsory bundle.

It does not remove applicable safety, legal, insurance, or venue operating requirements. Discuss the providers and setup you want before making commitments. Catering, florals, music, photography, and coordination services have their own agreements and prices.

You can browse our vendor directory whether or not you book the estate. The right choice is the provider whose work, availability, terms, and price fit your event.

A fair quote comparison includes the limits, too

The Magnolia Pavilion is covered and open-air. Heaters and fans help with comfort; they do not turn it into an enclosed climate-controlled ballroom. Make a weather plan with us and your vendors. Do not assume the lodging becomes a full indoor reception backup.

Amplified sound ends at 11 PM. Quiet conversation afterward is different from extending loud entertainment. On-site lodging makes it possible for your overnight group to stay nearby, not to disregard the sound policy.

These details belong beside the inclusions. A venue is not the best value for you if it cannot provide the kind of celebration your group needs.

Make one list before you request another quote

Write down the total venue access period, event guest count, furniture quantities, decor access, lodging arrangements, cleaning charge, food and drinks, service fees, and weather requirements. Mark each item as included, separate, optional, or still awaiting an answer.

Compare the same list with every venue. Do not count a cost twice, and do not treat an unpriced service as free. Ask whether the written quote is complete and what could change it. An itemized answer is more useful than a promise that everything is taken care of.

For our standard $10,500 weekend, the starting facts are clear: 200 chairs and tables for those chairs, available estate decor, 13 bedrooms with on-site lodging, and the cleaning fee are included. Your food, drinks, and chosen vendor services are separate. Our weekday and micro-wedding options have different inclusions, so compare the specific package rather than transferring these promises to every booking.

Then ask what the weekend would feel like

Price is part of the decision. So is having time with your favorite people. Staying on one estate can mean cards around a table, pool time when conditions allow, and a quieter evening outside instead of another drive back to a hotel.

Disconnect from the world so you can connect with friends, family, and loved ones. Just not too disconnected: we still have fiber-optic internet. You can put your phone down because you want to, not because it has given up.
