New Wedding Vendor Directory | Scarborough House NC

Built for Brides
Sparkler send off for a bride and groom at Scarborough House wedding venue near Raleigh NC

Somewhere around month three of planning a wedding, every couple hits the same wall. The venue is booked, the date is circled, the ring photos are posted, and then someone asks a question that stops everything: "So who is doing your flowers?" Followed quickly by the cake, the music, the photos, the hair, the food, the bar, and the getaway car. If you are planning a wedding in Wilson, Stantonsburg, Greenville, or anywhere in the greater Raleigh area, you already know the feeling. The internet hands you ten thousand options and zero confidence.

That is exactly why we rebuilt the vendor directory at Scarborough House this week. Not a small polish. A real upgrade to the way you meet the people who will actually make your wedding weekend happen.

The problem: a list is not the same as an introduction

Our vendor page has always had good bones. We list the photographers, caterers, florists, DJs, planners, bakers, and bar services who have worked weddings on this estate or earned our trust through our couples. No exclusive list, no markup, no restrictions. Bring your own vendors if you love them, or start with ours.

But we heard from couples browsing on their phones that the page felt like a phone book. Some vendor cards did not open a profile when you tapped them. The category filters undercounted our planners and photographers, so a bride looking for a coordinator saw one name when we actually work with seven. And most of the cards showed a gray placeholder icon instead of anything that told you who this business is.

A directory that behaves like that is not helping you plan. So we fixed all three things at once.

What changed this week

1. Every vendor card now opens a real profile

Every card on the vendor directory now clicks through to a full profile page. Each profile tells you what the vendor does, where they serve, how to reach them, and how they fit into a wedding weekend at a 205 year old Federal style estate in Stantonsburg. Many profiles also show reviews from real couples, links to the vendor's website and social media, and suggestions for complementary vendors, so finding your florist can also lead you to your photographer.

2. The category filters now tell the truth

When you tap Planning and Coordination, you now see all seven of the planners and coordinators we recommend, from full service event design to day of coordination. Photography and Video now shows all fourteen of the photographers and filmmakers on our list. If you are getting married anywhere between Durham and the coast, that depth matters, because the best eastern North Carolina vendors book their Saturdays a year out.

3. Every featured partner now has a face

All sixty of our featured partners now show an image on their card. Where a business has a real logo, like Treat Yo Self Bakery in Wilson, we feature it. Where a small business does not have brand art floating around the internet, and plenty of wonderful home bakers and family run caterers do not, we designed an elegant name card in the same gold and ivory style as the rest of the site. No more anonymous gray boxes. You can scan the whole directory and actually remember who you saw.

Why a venue keeps a vendor list at all

Here is the honest answer: because we have seen what happens when the team is right. A wedding weekend at Scarborough House is not a four hour event. Couples take the whole estate, sleep thirteen bedrooms of family and friends on site, rehearse on Friday, celebrate on Saturday under the heated and cooled pavilion, and have brunch by the pool on Sunday. That rhythm works because the caterer knows where the power is, the DJ knows how the pavilion sounds at full dance floor, and the photographer knows exactly where the light lands at golden hour over working farmland.

Vendors who know this estate move faster, set up smoother, and give you a calmer wedding day. That is worth more than any discount. And because we never take a markup or a kickback, the list stays honest. A vendor earns a spot by doing great work for our couples, period.

How to use the new directory

Start on the vendors page and tap the category you need first. Most couples book in this order: photographer, caterer, planner or coordinator, florist, music, cake, then the fun extras like marquee letters and mobile bars. Open a few profiles, check the reviews, and reach out directly. Every profile has the vendor's real phone, email, or website.

Then cross check your picks against the practical tools we built for planning here: the food and drink calculator for your headcount, the ceremony seating planner for your aisle, and the golden hour calculator so your photographer schedules portraits at the exact minute the sky does its thing over the fields.

If you have not seen the estate yet, that is the real first step. Vendors can tell you what they do, but the venue tells you what your weekend feels like. Book a tour, walk the grounds, stand in the pavilion, and picture your people here for a whole weekend instead of a rented afternoon.

Built for brides, one upgrade at a time

This is part of a running series about how scarboroughhouse.com keeps getting better for the couples who use it. The couples portal, the real weddings gallery, instant tour booking with Mary, and now a vendor directory that works the way you browse. Every piece exists to make planning a wedding weekend in eastern North Carolina feel less like a research project and more like the fun part.

Come see where it all happens. Schedule your tour of Scarborough House and bring your questions. We will bring the sunset.
