Booking the tour takes about a minute

You book directly on our tour page. Pick a date and a time slot that works for you. You will get a confirmation, and if something changes on either side, we text. That is it. An owner meets you at the gate

When you pull down the drive in Stantonsburg, the person waiting is Josh or Meika. We own Scarborough House, we restored it, and we have personally hosted more than fifty weddings here. There is no better tour guide for a property than the people who know where every light switch and legend lives.

Bring whoever matters: your fiance, your mom, your planner, your skeptical uncle who thinks everything is overpriced. We like the skeptical uncles. They ask the best questions.

The walk itself, about an hour

We start at the manor, the oldest Federal style home in Wilson County, roughly 205 years old, once a stagecoach stop. You will hear the George Washington legend on the front steps where couples say their vows.

Then the grounds: all five ceremony sites, because different couples fall for different spots. The oak trees. The open lawn. The view over the working farmland. We will show you where the sun sets on your season, where the ceremony chairs go, and where your photographer will want to steal you away at golden hour.

The Magnolia Pavilion is next, heated and cooled, with Edison bulbs and room for a serious dance floor. Then the pool, the fire pits, and the part that changes most couples' math on the spot: the lodging. Thirteen bedrooms and ten bathrooms across the estate, sleeps 28 overnight guests in standard bedroom beds, plus one bonus twin for 29 fixed overnight bed spaces. Walk the rooms and picture the names on the doors. This is where the wedding weekend stops being an abstract idea.

What does the price actually include?

Ours is on the pricing page: $10,500 for the full Friday to Sunday weekend with all lodging, $5,500 all inclusive micro weddings, $2,500 weekday weddings. No food and beverage minimum, no required vendor list, no percentage fees stacked on top.

Who else will be here on my wedding day?

Nobody. One booking per weekend. The whole estate is yours.

What happens if it rains?

We walk you through the real rain plan on the spot, pavilion and all, so you are not imagining it from a brochure.

When does the music have to stop?

Amplified sound ends at 11 p.m. We tell you that plainly on the tour because you deserve to plan around facts, not surprises.

What we will never do on a tour

We will not ask for a deposit on the spot. We will not tell you another couple is "looking at your date" to rush you. We will not size up your budget before deciding how friendly to be. The tour is free, the answers are honest, and the follow up afterward is a thank you text, not a pressure campaign.

Wedding industry data keeps showing that the tour is where couples actually decide, and we agree. That is exactly why we refuse to poison it with sales tactics. The estate either feels like your wedding or it does not, and no script changes that.

How to compare us against other venues you tour

Take the same notebook to every venue and write down five numbers: the base price, what lodging costs on top, the food and beverage minimum, the required vendor fees, and the overtime charge. At most venues those five numbers live in four different documents. Here, they are one number, because lodging is included, there is no food minimum, no vendor list, and the weekend already runs Friday to Sunday.

Then write down one feeling: could you picture your people here on a Sunday morning? That question decides more weddings than any spreadsheet, and it is the one only a tour can answer.

How long does it take to get here?

About an hour east of Raleigh, thirty minutes from Greenville, straight down the highway. Our area guide has the details, including the fact that our exit is now Highway 587, exit 35.

Can we tour on a weekend?

Often yes, around hosted weddings. Weekday and late afternoon slots have the most availability, and late afternoon gets you the golden hour view.

Can we bring kids?

Please do. The lawn was made for them, and how a venue feels with kids running on it is useful information.

What should we bring?

Your questions, your people, and comfortable shoes. The walk covers the manor, the grounds, the pavilion, the pool, and as many of the 13 bedrooms as you want to see.

After the tour
